About Me

I am starting my 30's a bit like a ship lost at sea.

I am divorced, estranged from most of my family, either by choice or by distance, and live a quiet life in Midtown Sacramento in a vintage 1915 apartment, lovingly dubbed "The Cat Flat".

I love food, but am in no way an expert. I love to eat, to shop local markets, and, most of all, to cook.

I have a passion for traveling,and experiencing new people, places, cultures, and food, whether that be around town, or around the world.

I value beautiful photography, live music, laughter, a good drink, and someone to share it with. I think I should get a dog.

This is neither a food blog, nor a travel blog, nor a literary blog, or anything else in particular.  It is just my life, with a few photos of what I have seen and done along the way.

You really want to know about me? I saw fuck. A lot. I like to drink Jameson, sometimes straight, sometimes with ginger ale. I hate cleaning anything, and only do so with a lot of eye-rolling and sighing. I like shitty horror movies. I am not an expert in anything, but am a decent trivia teammate. I adore Broke-Ass Stuart; although I am no longer young or beautiful, I am indeed still broke.
